Michigan death metal outfit Nethergate are gearing up for their sophomore EP, Necroasis, which is scheduled to arrive on May 27th. Today (6th), the group has teamed up with Metal Insider to unveil a video for their new single “The Third Oath.” The clip was shot and edited by Aaron Lumsden of Akuro Productions.

Frontman/bassist Matt Soper comments:

“The Third Oath” tells the story of a seemingly ordinary man with a life in shambles who feels mysteriously drawn to the small run down coastal town of Innsmouth. He will ultimately commit his very being there, to an order shrouded in esotery, and rule from fathomless depths with his “Deep-One” bride at his side. There is a very obvious and heavy HP Lovecraft inspiration in this song thematically.”
