Vexes is the collaborative effort of former members of A Life Once Lost, Vessl, Fury of Five, and Downstage. They are about to drop their debut record, Ancient Geometry on February 23rd. The band has already dropped two catchy tracks, “Lift” and “Plasticine” and now have released a third single, “Helion“. The band provides a very accurate description of their sound and style.
“Vexes love music too much to resort to wholesale theft. Yet one listen to their debut album Ancient Geometry (Due February 23rd) confirms their love for Deftones, Cave In, Thrice, Helmet and even post-metal bands like Isis and Pelican. Ancient Geometry should appeal to the fans of the bands Vexes love, but also to anyone that enjoys creative, eclectic and surprising hard rock and metal.”
After hearing their first three tracks, they definitely hit the nail on the head with that description. Check out “Helion” below and pre-order Ancient Geometry here.
