Tom Morello has been a very vocal supporter of the Occupy movement, having performed at numerous protests. That’s why it shouldn’t come as a shocker to hear that he joined the Occupier’s march on Wall Street yesterday (May 1) in honor of May Day, aka International Workers’ Day. In fact, the Rage Against The Machine guitarist/ activist went one step further, assembling a group of guitarists and musicians for the “Occupy Guitarmy.” If the title wasn’t clear enough, its essentially Morello and a bunch of protestors marching together in New York City while playing music.

Whether you’re in support of Morello’s actions or think it’s as annoying as Mustaine’s political/religious rants is for you to decide. Us personally, though, we’d prefer to hear Morello playing protest songs over Ted Nugent talking about politics. You can watch the Artisan News’ coverage of the ‘Occupy Guitarmy’ above, while Fuse TV’s interview with Morello can be seen after the jump.
