Philly was definitely the place to be for live weekend. Not only did Decibel host their 100th issue concert spectacular on Saturday featuring Converge, Pig Destroyer, Municipal Waste and more, but, the following night, half of Baroness opened for Neurosis. And if your rock tastes run a little more mainstream than the Decibel show, you might have seen Soundgarden debut a new song. Playing at Upper Darby’s Tower Theater, Chris Cornell played the new song, a solo acoustic tune, without an introduction sandwiched in between two songs from King Animal. Go to about 3:30 of the clip to check it out. Two days later (that’d be last night), the band performed at the Barack Obama’s inaugural ball. Check out a pic of Cornell Baracking the vote after the jump.
