Every time a nationwide TV show brings up any sort of light to the rock and metal culture, it creates a bit of excitement to realize how far we come from being outcasts of society to be on mainstream media where your grandparents can have a bit of exposure to our music. Late Night with Seth Meyers has done its part in the past, with appearances of Zakk Wylde’s Black Label Society but now, he brought up a part of history that everybody wants to forget from their high school years: Limp Bizkit.
The show decided to do a short skit about Limp Bizkit’s second album Significant Other, which contains hits like “Nookie” and, well, “Nookie” and that’s exactly what they made sure to recite in the video below. I can’t help but wonder if Fred Durst sheds a tear of joy every time someone mentions Limp Bizkit nowadays, even though they haven’t been relevant in over a decade.
