50 years since Rocka Rolla

2024 marks a significant milestone for Judas Priest. While they will be touring across North America this spring with support from power metal historians Sabaton, this year will commemorate iconic album anniversaries. For starters, the band’s debut album, 1974’s Rocka Rolla, will reach its fiftieth anniversary. Other notable celebratory records include 1984’s Defenders of Faith and, most recently, ten years since 2014’s Redeemer of Souls

Notable collaboration

These legends continue to stride and surprise us. One incredible collaboration took place just last year when Rob Halford teamed up with Doro for not one but two songs. The first is a cover of Judas Priest’s “Living After Midnight,” featuring Halford. The second involves a different cover track of the classic “Total Eclipse of the Heart.” If you haven’t checked out these Doro and Halford collaborations yet, what are you waiting for? You can find them on Doro’s latest album, Conqueress – Forever Strong and Proud, released in October 2023 via Nuclear Blast.
