Rob Zombie guitarist John 5 is a guitar genius, who’s played with everyone from Rob Halford and Marilyn Manson to David Lee Roth. He’s also got a number of solo albums, with his latest, Guitars, T!ts, and Monsters coming out sometime this year. The album, which will be under the moniker John 5 and the Creatures, is preceded by a song and video called “Making Monsters.” The video was co-directed by two people that live up to the album title: Coffin Cases founder Johnny Coffin directed the stop-motion animation in the video, in which monsters, including the Creature From the Black Lagoon and Frankenstein, come to life. And Matt Zane, who plays in Society 1 and who we first knew as a porn director, directed the live action part of the video.

As far as the Creatures, Rodger Carter plays drums and Ian Ross is the bassist. No word on when the full length will be out,  but Mr. 5 is has a pretty busy summer lined up with Rob Zombie.
