Earlier this month, melodic neo-death metallers Exmortus shared a video for their latest single, “Storm of Strings.” The track is taken from their upcoming sixth full-length album, Necrophony, out August 25th via Nuclear Blast. The song is more of a cover to the new age artist Yanni’s track, “The Storm,” which was based off of Antonio Vivaldi’s concertos, “The Four Seasons.”
Guitarist/vocalist Conan commented:
“We’ve been meaning to cover this piece for a long time and now it feels right for Necrophony. Honoring two artists at once, we give you a heavy metal shred version of Yanni’s arrangement of Vivaldi’s Summer Concerto. Enjoy the groove, enjoy the passion!”
