Hailing from France, the progressive/technical-death metal act Exocrine are gearing up for their new album, Legend, out January 26, 2024, via Season of Mist. The group has recently unleashed a video for their latest single, “Eidolon.” Taking a spin on ancient literature, “Eidolon” are depicted as ghostly doppelgängers. Exocrine showcased this horror within the video, seeing the members hunt these demons in a bloody, bullet-filled frenzy. Musically, the brutal track moves with a melodic delivery mixed with blast beats and relentless riffs. It clearly depicts what to look out for from the follow-up to 2022’s The Hybrid Suns.

Founded by Sylvain Octor-Perez, Nicolas La Rosa, and Jordy Besse, the trio made their mark with their 2015 debut album, Unreal Existence. The group continued to push boundaries, which was explored in their subsequent releases, Ascension (2017) and Molten Giant (2018). Now, onto album number six, Exocrine have evolved and are ready for their next chapter with Legend. The band are not afraid to explore and find innovative ways such as exploring philosophical and science fiction themes within their music.
