Salt Lake City’s Cult Leader have premiered a music video for the song “To Achlys.” The track is taken from their upcoming album A Patient Man, which will be released on November 9th via Deathwish. The follow-up to 2015’s debut Lightless Walk was recorded and engineered by Kurt Ballou at God City Studios (Converge, Nails, High on Fire) and promised to showcase the group’s more matured direction.
The band teamed up with Revolver to premiere this track as vocalist Anthony Lucero explained:
“Achlys is the personification of sorrow, a primordial Goddess who has been on my mind since before Lightless Walk was released. This song addresses her directly and it allows us to explore what it means to play ‘heavy music.’ The video is simply something I felt the need to make. It’s a further expression of the visual side of our band.”
