Earlier this year, Apocalyptica got together with the MDR Symphony Orchestra in Leipzig, Germany to pay tribute to classical composer Richard Wagner on his 200th birthday. The result, recorded on July 5th and 6th, was Wagner Reloaded, a performance that was, as you’ll see from this performance of “Stormy Wagner,’ a multimedia spectacular with bizarre theatrical performances, choreography, and, of course, the music. The band’s Eicca Toppinen composed the music, which was influenced by Wagner, but is the band’s own. It’s the band’s first live album, and 11th overall.
