Petition started to immortalize Oderus Urungus in Mortal Kombat game

Posted by on January 20, 2015

Someone has gone out of their way to create a petition on thepetitionsite.com for the upcoming video game Mortal Kombat X to try to convince NeverRealm studios to add the late Oderus Urungus as a playable character. Oderus Urungus, the intergalactic frontman of GWAR, was played by David Brockie, and is known for being one of the most vicious and colorful characters in rock history until his tragic passing last March. While we all know his music will be remembered forever, what better way to pay our respects to him than by making him a playable character in a Mortal Kombat game? The campaign has already gotten over 1200 signatures in a little over two days, so we urge you to show your support by following the link above and signing what is quite possibly the greatest petition we have ever seen.

Brockie would have been psyched to be immortalized in a video game. When we spoke to him a few years ago, he said he enjoyed playing Call of Duty, and he was psyched to have been immortalized in the Beavis and Butt-head video game, in which GWAR made an appearance.
