Nikki Sixx adds fuel to the Guns N’ Roses reunion fire

Will they or won’t they? That’s what everyone seems to be asking following the growing speculation that Guns N’ Roses will reunite with the Appetite For Destruction-era lineup. While some outlets have been stoking the rumor mill for the better part of a year, rumors really started to heat up this week, with an unnamed source telling an outlet we never heard of that it’s a done deal. Given that both DJ Ashba and Bumblefoot left the band, it’s not totally out of the realm of impossibility, and Slash has said that he’s been talking to Axl Rose again. For their part, Guns N’ Roses haven’t denied or confirmed anything, but have played coy on Twitter with a few relatively cryptic announcements.

Not as coy? Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx. When a fan asked via Twitter about the reunion, he responded in all caps “THEY ARE. EVERYBODY KNOWS.” Maybe it’s widely-enough known in the L.A. music industry, or maybe it’s because Ashba is his bandmate in Sixx A.M., but if Nikki says so, it might be true. Or not. Who knows? At any rate, if it’s really happening as soon as everyone seems to be suggesting it might be, we probably won’t have to wait too long to find out.
