In less than two weeks, Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck will debut on HBO. It’s currently being screened at film festivals, such as the Tribeca Film Festival, which is where Courtney Love participated in a Q&A session at a screening. Among the revelations from the sessions was the fact that Love and Cobain made a sex tape. The Pulse of Radio says that Love allegedly said “Somehow Brett found the sex tape. Everyone makes one sex tape once in their lives.” A sex tape between Love and Cobain is something that anyone alive and coming of age 20 years ago would be morbidly curious to see, but fortunately, Morgen didn’t include it in his film.
Also, Love revealed that a lot of the more intimate footage (but probably not the sex tape) was filmed by her ex-boyfriend, Hole’s Eric Erlandson. ERic would come over and shoot really intimate stuff with me and Kurt,” Love said. Director Brett Morgen was given complete access to all of Cobain and Love’s video and audio recordings for the film, which took eight years to make.
Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck will debut on HBO on Monday, May 4.
