We haven’t heard a lot from Of Mice & Men since singer Austin Carlile left the band at the end of last year. And while it was initially said that he’d left OM&M because he couldn’t sing due to Marfan Syndrome, a few months ago, he claimed that it was “creative differences,” and Carlile would continue making music that he wanted to make. And while Of Mice & Men are continuing on without him and will play their first show without him later this month, Carlile is continuing to be treated for his disease.
In a post on his Instagram page, he stated that he’s in Costa Rica undergoing a two to three month spinal treatment. It sounds like a pretty intensive treatment, with him getting 12 to 24 shots into his spinal cord, muscles from his legs to his hips and lower and middle back. Ouch. Here’s hoping things go well for him.
