Earlier this week, the MusiCares MAP Fund benefit concert took place in Los Angeles. While Metallica playing Beatles, Ozzy and Deep Purple songs was the highlight, the event was attended by a ton of other rock and metal luminaries. Among them was Slipknot and Stone Sour’s Corey Taylor, who spoke with Front Row Live Entertainment about the new Slipknot album:
“Album is coming along, I actually left the studio to come right down here. So it’s a matter of time trust me, it’s gonna be rad. It’s good ya know? That’s all I can really say, ya know? Everything is going exactly how it needs to go, so, it’s gonna be awesome.”
“The good thing is that we’ve all been writing so there’s a ton of stuff that we’re pretty stoked on. It’s… It’s exactly what you want it to be.
So there you have it. The new Slipknot album is going to be awesome, according to Corey Taylor. There’s still no word on who’s playing drums for them, even though Jay Weinberg’s name has been floated a bunch. All we know is that there’s probably going to be a drummer in place, and maybe even an album out, by the time they tour Japan for the Knotfest.
