We’ve known that Between The Buried And Me were planning to record a second part of The Parallax conceptual series since we spoke to guitarist Paul Waggoner last year. And thanks to the image they posted on their Facebook page last month (as seen off to the side), we knew that work on The Parallax part 2 had started. Thanks to comments from producer/engineer Jamie King, though, we now have a better idea of the album’s timeline.

When asked by Kill The Music whether it’s true that he’d be working with BTBAM once again, King revealed the following:

“Yeah, BTBAM are schedule to come in in May.  We’ve been working together so long that it’s like family getting together for a project. Just like hangin out with friends and making music as it should be.  It’s always enjoyable with then as they are great people and great players. Just a little stressful for me as I don’t want to let them down and the stakes are getting higher and higher with those guys.  Stuff needs to get better and better so it pushes me to keep improving my skills and gear.”

Seeing that BTBAM will begin recording with King in May, there’s a strong chance that we could hear new material in time for their co-headlining stint on the Summer Slaughter Tour. How long we’ll exactly have to wait until the new album actually gets released, though, is unclear. Still, we’re still very excited about the prospect of hearing new Between The Buried And Me very soon.
