With a two month tour with King Parrot earlier this year behind them, and having been touring Europe with Today is the Day since May, North Carolina’s Weedeater are hitting the road again here in the US in August, embarking on a 14-date tour with Kings Destroy.

Said “Dixie” Dave Collins in an interview with North Carolina’s Star News, about the band’s longevity:

“We did it for a long time the same way. I don’t know if no one got it or what. I don’t know if anyone gets it now. That’s up to them, I guess. More and more people were coming out to shows. I think the entire genre, or whatever you want to call it, grew, especially with younger people. The next thing you know, there were a bunch of people at the shows, especially in Europe. I don’t know why, but we’ll take it for sure.”

Weedeater is touring in support of their fifth studio album, Goliathan, which came out this past May, selling 1,000 copies in its first week out.
