Tremonti show dates affected by Hurricane Florence, drummer Garrett Whitlock to sit out tour

Hurricane Florence’s dangerous path could put millions of people at risk in the Carolinas and Virginia starting tomorrow (13th) and throughout the course of the weekend. While it has dropped from a Category 5 to Category 3, it remains dangerous and unpredictable as Pollstar reported several concerts have already been cancelled or postponed due to obvious safety reasons. With that said, a few dates of Seether’s tour with Tremonti opening for the group has been affected. The band’s show at the House of Blues in North Myrtle Beach, SC originally scheduled for tomorrow (13th) has been cancelled while Tremonti’s own headlining gig on Friday (14th) in Greensboro, NC has been rescheduled to October 13th.

Refunds for the North Myrtle Beach show will be available at the point of purchase and those who have tickets for the Greensboro, NC show will be honored at the rescheduled date.

In addition to weather, Tremonti drummer Garrett Whitlock has announced he’s taking a leave of absence from the group due to “undisclosed personal reasons” and will be replaced by Ryan Bennett, a longtime friend of guitarist Eric Friedman, for the tour.
