Stryper are celebrating their 40th anniversary, without amps. The Christian metal act has announced a special acoustic tour dubbed To Hell With The Amps: The Unplugged Tour. Embarking in late may, the band will perform their hits and fan favorites acoustically for the first time. Celebrating their 40th anniversary, the run will also support a new acoustic album slated for release this year. Frontman Michael Sweet assures fans that the acoustic album offers a distinctive experience with fire, energy, and a unique feel.
Tour Dates:
05/30 Woodstock, GA @ MadLife Stage & Studios
05/31 Charlotte, NC @ Amos’ Southend
06/01 Piney Flats, TN @ East Tennessee Distillery
06/04 Philadelphia, PA @ City Winery Philadelphia

Stryper plans to add more acoustic dates and a full-fledged tour with amps to support a new album later in the year. The announcement comes less than a year after Michael Sweet clarified their latest album, The Final Battle, did not mark the end for the band, dispelling assumptions of a farewell tour.
