Static-X and Sevendust are teaming up once again for the third leg of The Machine Killer Tour. Just weeks before the kick-off of the second trek, these two metal legends have announced another round of dates for the popular touring package, with support from Dope and Lines of Loyalty. The wait isn’t too much longer after they complete their second trek, as this tour kicks off on April 28 in Salt Lake City, UT, and will run through May 18 in Minneapolis, MN.
The Machine Killer Tour is more of a reunion, two decades in the making, going back to 1999. Sevendust, Static-X, and Dope were all exploding at the time, making their own mark in the metal scene ever since. Here we are, 25 years later, the bands have reunited once again after a successful 2023 run.
In addition to the tour, the bands will appear at the sold-out Sick New World Fest on April 27 in Las Vegas. For more information and VIP packages, you can check out Static-X’s website here and Sevendust’s website via this location.
Static-X have shared a music video for the song “Otsego Placebo,” taken from Project Regeneration: Vol 1. The song is the first piece of original music that the band created without Wayne Static. The music was written and performed by the original lineup with Tony Campos, Koichi Fukuda, and Ken Jay, along with current vocalist/guitarist Xer0.
We’re getting close to see Project Regeneration Vol.2 arrive, which is set for January 26th. The record was always planned as a companion piece to the original Project Regeneration Vol 1, which both combined, feature all of the remaining material discovered on tape of Wayne Static.
