Ozzy, Priest, Motorhead to tour together?

Posted by on January 2, 2015

If you were to name ten of the biggest metal bands of the last 30 years, Ozzy Osbourne, Judas Priest and Motorhead would almost certainly be three of them. Now it appears that the three may be teaming up to tour together on what’s being dubbed the “Monsters” tour. A Brazilian show promoter lists the show, the only one scheduled so far, as taking place at Porto Alegre’s Zequinha Stadium on April 30, which is after all three bands will be performing at the Rock in Rio festival in San Paulo on April 25th and 26th. Here’s what the listing says:

* ozzy osbourne, judas priest and motorhead confirm presence in the biggest festival of rock in the south of brazil *

Porto alegre is already scheduled to host the biggest festival of rock in the south of brazil. With production of hits entertainment, porto alegre will be the first city to receive the monsters tour, which will Bring ozzy osbourne, judas priest and motorhead. The festival will happen on 30 april, at the stadium of zequinha ( padre hildebrand, 1100 ).

The tickets for the first batch are limited and will be available on the website www.blueticket.com.br or in the shops multisom the From the 26 th of december.

There are no other shows booked so far, but if they were to tour in the States, they’d make a killing. Both Ozzy and Priest have essentially retired in the past, but have come back to play and Lemmy’s health issues cost Motorhead almost a year’s worth of dates. It’s almost a matter of time before one (or more) of the bands decides to stop touring, and given what iconic artists all three are, it’s pretty much a no-brainer for all three to put egos aside and tour. It makes sense for Ozzy’s schedule, as he said that he’ll be concentrating more on his solo career this year following the cycle for Black Sabbath’s 13. We’ll bring you more information as we get it.
