The Devil Wears Prada
I’ve been fortunate to catch The Devil Wears Prada twice in the past six months and was wowed each time by the intensity of their live performance. TDWP are truly just a fun band to see live. With music that is chock-full of infectiously melodic hooks and breakdowns that are heavier than a ton of bricks, you might find yourself torn between wanting to sing along, and wanting to jump into the mosh pit and shove and/or punch the nearest person to you. These guys are no strangers to the grueling pace of Warped Tour, so be prepared for one of the tightest sets you’ll see during the course of the day. You can check out the video for “First Sight” off of their latest release, 8:18, below. The Devil Wears Prada will be playing the Electric Soul Stage all summer.

Marmozets
Fresh off their recent signing to Roadrunner Records, British band Marmozets is sure to win over scores of new fans this summer. Take the intensity and unpredictability of letlive, now throw in a talented female vocalist–in this case the capable Becca MacIntyre–and you get Marmozets. Don’t be fooled into thinking this is another Paramore or Evanescence. Those bands, while clearly popular, can’t even touch the sheer awesomeness and creativity that MacIntyre and her bandmates bring to the table. Their video for their latest single “Why Do You Hate Me” can be viewed below. Check them out on the Hard Rock Kevin Says Stage from 7/04-8/03!

Dangerkids
Ok before you get turned off by the name–because I know I was at first–just skip this writeup and jam the video that is included below. Having seen these guys and gal twice now, I can say they put on a hell of a fun show and play some of the catchiest metalcore you’ll find at Warped. Take Hybrid Theory-era Linkin Park, now add soaring hooks and heavy breakdowns, and you arrive at Dangerkids. Oh and did I mention their kickass drummer, Katie Cole? Check out “Paper Thin” from their debut album Collapse below. They’re definitely a fun band worth seeing if metalcore is your cup o’ tea and you’re able to make it to the first half of the tour, Dangerkids are rocking Hard Rock Kevin Says Stage from 6/13-7/13!
