Every Time I Die

It’s hard to describe New Yorkers, Every Time I Die, in words, because words fail to encapsulate the sheer energy and heaviness of their live performance. Suffice to say, as a photographer, there are few bands I yearn to photograph more–and this is despite getting knocked out in the photo-pit last time I photographed them on Warped, back in 2012.  If you’re a metalhead and you don’t like ETID, you might need to get your head examined.  These guys have a new record, From Parts Unknown, coming out during the middle of the tour on July 1st, and just recently released a new video and song “Decayin’ With The Boys,” which you can view below! Catch ETID all summer long on the Monster Energy Stage!

Parkway Drive

Australia’s finest, Parkway Drive, are bringing their heavy brand of metalcore to Warped again this year, and you’d be an idiot to pass up the chance to see them killing it live. These guys really have loads of energy live, and are pure fun to watch. Frontman, Winston McCall is one of those few vocalists who is truly even better live than on a recording.  PWD put out their most recent record, Atlas, back in 2012, and have at least hinted at a new release coming in the fall this year.  Catch them on the Kia Soul Stage from 7/02-8/03!

Beartooth

One of a few newcomers we think are worth watching this year, Beartooth is a hardcore punk/metalcore band that formed after frontman Caleb Shomo quit the band Attack Attack! Luckily Beartooth is 100o x more mature and interesting than anything that his former band did. I’ve had the chance to see these guys play twice, and they don’t disappoint, putting on a live performance that is sure to leave you with lingering neck pains.  Beartooth has a new record out on Red Bull Records, just in time for Warped entitled, Disgusting. Check out the track “Dead” below, or stream the full album here.
