This past December marked the tenth anniversary of Chuck Schuldiner’s death. And in honor of the late frontman’s legacy, a handful of his former bandmates in Death will embark on a five city tour together.
Sponsored by Sick Drummer Magazine and Perseverance Holdings Ltd., the Death To All tour will be hitting San Fransisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, and Orlando. Some of the musicians taking part in these performances include drummer Gene Hoglan, guitarist Paul Masvidal (currently of Cynic), bassist Steve DiGiorgio and many others, as well as special guests still to be announced. And in addition to celebrating the music of Schuldiner, 20% of every ticket and merchandise purchase will go towards Sweet Relief, a charity that provides financial assistance to career musicians faced with illness, disability or age-related problems.
Exact details regarding dates and venues for the Death To All tour have yet to be announced. However, more information will be revealed shortly via the tour’s website and Facebook page. A video trailer for the Death To All tour can be seen above, while a list of musicians confirmed so far (along with the Death albums they appeared on) can be seen after the jump.
