Foo Fighters have announced a string of October shows in Indonesia, Japan, and Singapore. Tickets are available at this location. The announcement comes shortly after drummer Josh Freese revealed he was let go from the band without explanation. While Foo Fighters have yet to comment or confirm a replacement, Freese has responded to the news with humor.

Speculation continues to build around Shane Hawkins, the 18-year-old son of the late Taylor Hawkins, as the band’s possible next drummer. The rumors gained traction via Rolling Stone, addressing New Zealand drummer and educator Stan Bicknell shared a cryptic Instagram story, stating, “I’ve just been informed they are going with Shane, but you didn’t hear it here.”

Notably, Shane will once again perform with Chevy Metal, his late father’s rock covers band, for a run of summer shows in July and August. With that schedule wrapping before Foo Fighters’ Asia dates, it adds further room for the possibility that Shane could join the group if the rumors prove true.
