Devin Townsend has been promising big things with Transcendence. Now we know when we’ll finally get to hear Hevy Devy’s latest offering through The Devin Townsend Project, as well as see him back onstage.
Townsend confirmed that Transcendence will come out on September 2, while also offering a look at the album’s cover artwork (as seen above). As if that wasn’t awesome enough, the Devin Townsend Project also announced dates for a North American co-headlining tour with Between The Buried And Me. Support on this tour will come from Fallujah, making this THE most prog-tastic tour of the fall.
“We’ve given ourselves way more time to analyze the music and production,” Townsend previously shared with us, while also confirming the album will include a re-recording of “Truth”. “My hope for the new record, Transcendence, is that all my work from the past seven years will coagulate into a more singular statement.” Honestly, he sold us immediately just by saying “New Devin Townsend Project Album.”
