According to an even listing over at McMenamins.com, the Deftones’ will be performing the albums Around The Fur and Diamond Eyes in their entirety at the Crystal Ballroom in Portland, OR this coming Friday (April 15). We remain a bit skeptical, though, about this mainly because no official announcement from the band has been made. Plus, we’d be a bit surprised that the Deftones’ were performing their 1999 classic Around The Fur on only one stop since we’re sure many fans would want to hear both that album and 2010’s Diamond Eyes, in their entirety.

This leaves us to believe one of the following three options:

  1. Deftones were planning to announce that they were performing both albums in its entirety throughout the tour, but this one site let it leak early.
  2. This really is just a one show thing. Seeing that the show in question is a recently added second show, it’s quite possible that they’re merely trying to draw more incentive for this one show.
  3. To simply put it, there was a miscommunication between the booker and band and they aren’t performing the two albums in their entirety.

We’re hoping to gain confirmation soon. We’ll keep you posted if more develops.
