Sapraemia
Displaying a level of speed and technicality made popular by bands like Origin, Defeated Sanity, Necrophagist, and Wormed, Miami’s SAPRAEMIA is quickly becoming one of the most popular names in death metal to come from South Florida in the past few years. Having played outside of South Florida numerous time over the past two years, Sapraemia’s name is spreading quickly too. Their 2015 EP “Disintegration of Permanent Atoms” sounding just as top quality as the aforementioned bigger bands, it will be no surprise to anyone when Sapraemia eventually hits it big. Reapermanser
Combining all of the best elements of bands like Bathory, Sarcófago, and Sodom with bands such as Cryptic Slaughter, D.R.I., and Discharge, Miami’s REAPERMANSER is one of the most energetic bands to come from South Florida since their debut back in 2012. And with their brand new and anxiously awaited full-length album, “The Reaper Awaits Damnation”, finally available to the public, the band is ready and eager to expand and spread the Reapermanser name like wildfire, having already travelled all the way to Texas to play their first out-of-state show with legendary German black/thrashers DESASTER. Koroidia
With a sound that harkens back to the heydays of Morbid Angel, Brutality, and Monstrosity, Hialeah’s KOROIDIA are the reigning champs of the OSDM revival in Florida. Featuring members of legendary South Florida death metal warriors Hibernus Mortis, Koroidia has quickly risen in their two years of existence to become one of the most popular local acts South Florida has to offer. Their 5-track EP “Wrath Abomination” spread like a plague when it dropped last February, and with a 3-track demo leading up to a full-length album due out by the end of 2016, Koroidia show no signs of slowing down anytime soon.
