Drummer Cayle Sain, known for his recent work with Twitching Tongues, has passed away. The news has prompted outpouring tributes from friends, fans, and fellow musicians on social media. Sain’s versatile drumming skills were showcased with Twitching Tongues and acts like Ghostemane, Fuming Mouth, Downpresser, Mizery, and more. His ability to adapt to different music styles has left a lasting mark on his legacy. Twitching Tongues, the band with whom Sain most recently collaborated, expressed their condolences. The cause of his passing has not been disclosed. Our thoughts go out to Sain’s family and friends during this difficult time.
Twitching Tongues shared the following:
“Our beloved friend, brother, and drummer Cayle Sain has passed away. Aside from his unmatched talent, Cayle had the biggest heart and was the most loyal and caring friend anyone could ask for. If you spent one minute with him, he loved you. We are moved by the outpouring of love and support we’ve seen for him today and we promise you that it would have meant everything to him. His charisma, his raw power on the kit, and his unbeatable comedic timing will never be replaced or forgotten. Rest in peace, and goodbye for now. ❤️”
While Sain’s death remains unclear, it’s worth noting, just six weeks ago, Cain expressed his excitement on returning to the drums. In an Instagram post, which inevitably, and sadly, became his final post on the social platform, he expressed:
“The Misfits Featuring Twitching Tongues. Getting to play drums again these last few months and my brothers giving me the chance and having confidence in me, means the absolute world to me. Idk where I’d be without those guys. And I mean that lol. It’s truly a dream come true. Went into this not knowing a single misfits song except maybe a few hits. With that being said, I haven’t had this much fun in years. Thank you @twitchingtongues for pushing me to learn these songs (even though they’re pretty dumb lol) and look at it like Evil Elvis. I also had a blast getting to give people a sneak peek at what me @codster_roadster and @shakewell have cooking up with help from @taylorxyoung. Eat a Slug Mother Fucker”

Cayle Sain is a legend. All of his bands inspired me. His presence inspired me. I was lucky enough to become a friend, tour some of the world together, experience life. True kinship, and unwavering kindness is so rare in this world. Cayle gave that to everyone in his life. RIP ❤️ pic.twitter.com/0iu0SpaCEL

The universe is cruel and unfair that when Twitching Tongues comes back and has their renaissance, the rug is pulled out.
