Motorbooks has announced Rush and 2112: 50 Years, an illustrated, slip-cased book celebrating the landmark album that reshaped the band’s legacy. Written by rock historian Daniel Bukszpan, the book is scheduled to arrive on March 10, 2026, just weeks ahead of the 50th anniversary of 2112. Originally released on April 1, 1976, 2112 marked a turning point for the Toronto trio. The book explores how the album was created, why it remains central to the band’s identity, and how it sparked a run of influential releases that followed.
Rush and 2112: 50 Years features in-depth historical context, a track-by-track breakdown including the iconic 20-minute title suite, rare and archival photography, and commentary examining the band’s creative evolution and lasting influence. Speaking of 50 years, Rush will return to the road this year for their Fifty Something tour. Tickets are available at this location.
