Portland rock trio Veio are gearing up to release a deluxe edition of their latest effort, 2020’s Vitruvian, featuring reimagined versions of their singles “Ascendancy” and “Flare of Defiance.” These new versions take the listener back to the original version of the songs the band had written. Vocalist/guitarist Cam Byrd explained:
“Given the state of the world right now, we wanted to write these reimagined tracks as a way to support the album without touring. Rewriting some of our favorite tracks from Vitruvian gave us the opportunity to view our music through a different lens and push ourselves artistically with an approach we’ve never taken before.”
Today (8th), the group teamed up with Metal Insider to premiere the reimagined track “Flare of Defiance.”
The band comments:
“Flare of Defiance is a track of pure energy and sonic violence. We approached this one with cinematic fury in mind the match the message of rebellion within the song”
