Metallica Announces Producer for Next Album

It’s no big secret that there has been a lot of gripe about the production quality of many of Metallica’s albums, and it seems that this has become the go-to prod at the band lately. While I am willing to accept that as it is their band, they are perfectly allowed to choose whatever producer they want, I had a very immediate knee jerk reaction to Joey Sturgis (Asking Alexandria, Attila, and Emmure) being “announced” as their next producer. However this could be just the move that they need to get them back on top of the heavy metal food chain. I’ll stay skeptically optimistic.
