Tuomas Holopainen of Nightwish Announces Cologne: Holopainen (Prank Goes Over Many Heads)


This by far was the hardest hitting prank for me. As an avid Nightwish fan, and currently listening to Endless Forms Most Beautiful on repeat while I await seeing them on the 17^th, I came across an advertisement for Holopainen, “an elegant, yet humble fragrance for the modern metalhead,.” Although the post was obviously just an April Fools’ Day prank, it was also something that I was totally ready to whip out the wallet for and drop obscene amounts of money on. Alas, it was just a joke, and I moved on to coping the way I know best– turning my speakers up to neighbor-annoying decibel levels. At the very beginning of April 2nd that they had to clarify that the post was in-fact a prank, further confirming my disappointment.
