According to Billboard, Ozzy Osbourne is facing a copyright lawsuit for allegedly posting unlicensed photos of himself on social media. Filed in Los Angeles federal court, the lawsuit claims the Black Sabbath legend shared images taken by rock photographer Neil Zlozower without permission or paying licensing fees.

Zlozower, apparently now known for having filed over fifty copyright cases, has now added Ozzy to the mix, alleging Osbourne ignored multiple requests to resolve the issue before legal action was taken. The disputed images include portraits with guitarist Zakk Wylde and a stage photo with the late Randy Rhoads. Osbourne’s team has not yet responded to the allegations.

The complaint states:

“The accounts are key components of the defendant’s popular and lucrative commercial enterprise. Defendant has over 12 million followers on [Facebook], and over 6 million followers on [Instagram], and over 5 million followers on [X] — all of which are monetized and provide significant financial benefits to defendant.”
