This year’s ArcTanGent festival scheduled for August 20-22 in Bristol, UK is still on for now. The event featuring artists Opeth, Chelsea Wolfe, Tesseract, Ihsahn, and more, has addressed concerns over the COVID-19 outbreak with the following message:
“Hey you guys!
We thought we’d give you a little update you on how we’re responding to the challenges of coronavirus (COVID-19) & how this is affecting your festival.
The main take home message today is we will be going ahead as planned, unless the government outright ban outdoor events in the U.K. The only reason we wouldn’t be going ahead is if such a ban was to last until August, including the dates of ATG.
We don’t have a crystal ball & things seem to change every day so we’ll try to update you as things unfold. But it is still 5 months until ArcTanGent, so if we can, we’ll definitely be there for you to host the party of all parties once this is all over.
For now, the most important thing we can all do is keep washing our hands, take the advice from the experts & support the most vulnerable in our communities.
We’re super confident that we can get through this together & we’ll have an almighty knees up once it’s all under control.
In the unlikely event that the government does put a temporary ban on events (that lasted till August), we would at that point give you the option to transfer your tickets to a rescheduled date, the 2021 festival or if you couldn’t make either of those, then a refund would be available.
Thanks for your continued support & we sincerely hope to see you for the 8th edition of ATG in August.”
