Aesthetic Perfection were one of the unlucky groups that arrived in the states just to find out their tour was cancelled or postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak. After the long journey looking forward to a tour that never happened, the group had to head back to Austria with finances lost and all.
As a follow-up message to their already heartbreaking statement, Daniel Graves added:
“Greetings, Perfectionists! In case you didn’t know, I made it safely back to Austria. The last few days have been, without a doubt, some of the most tense and scary of my life. Two transatlantic flights in 48 hours, the loss of tens of thousands of dollars, the prospect of being stranded away from home indefinitely… it’s certainly been an adventure!
I am currently on military enforced lockdown in my tiny little village. For how long? No one knows. However, instead of being angry or frustrated or hopeless, I’ve decided to view this situation as an opportunity – an opportunity to create and spend much needed time with my family. I’ve got a backlog of unfinished material that I plan to dive headfirst into. I’ve got furniture to build and books to read. I’ll also be spending a lot more time on my Patreon, doing live-streams and reconnecting with my community there. The financial impact of this situation cannot be understated, so if you’d like to help keep Aesthetic Perfection afloat during these trying times, please consider signing up for my Patreon, buying something in the online store or my Bandcamp. I know many of us are struggling at the moment, so please only do so if it’s not a burden.
No matter what, I remain optimistic about the future. I view this moment in time as a setback, not the end of the world.
I’ll be going live tonight via my YouTube channel at 5pm CET. Stop by and say hello.
Stay safe and healthy, everyone!”
