Metallica’s ‘All Within My Hands’ foundation reveals second annual Day of Service

Posted by on April 9, 2019

All Within My Hands, created by Metallica, is a foundation dedicated to help feed the hungry. Founded last year, it didn’t take long to start making a difference. In its first six months of existence the foundation donated over $750,000 to food banks across the world. Metallica also donated $10,000 in each city visited on their most recent tour while meeting local people dedicated to helping others. Last year the call went out in the form of the foundations first annual “Day of Service” which saw 1000 people volunteer their services at local US food banks to help feed the hungry.

On May 22nd, the second annual Day of Service will be held allowing fans to once again volunteer their time for the day in communities that have supported Metallica on its North American dates of the WorldWired tour. Fans are encouraged to join Feeding America, Metallica, and the All Within My Hands Foundation in their effort to end hunger around the world.

Participation has doubled this year as 50 food banks are on board with volunteers receiving a commemorative t-shirt to go with the special feeling that serving your community brings. Registration is required to participate and space is limited. For those who are not near any of the locations or are not available to participate in the Day of Service, please visit Feeding America to see how you can help.

For more information including a complete list of participating food banks and information on how to register to volunteer, go to Metallica’s website or All Within My Hands.
