This past Saturday (5th), Marilyn Manson celebrated his fiftieth birthday. The shock rocker partied in style at the Madame Siam in Los Angeles and had a number of guests including Courtney Love, Jonathan Davis, Yoshiki and more. Manson shared a few highlights on his Instagram, which you can check out below:
Manson and Yoshiki have both expressed their friendship as Manson joined X-Japan onstage during the group’s set at Coachella last year to perform “Sweet Dreams.”
We spoke to Yoshiki last spring and asked if he would cover a David Bowie song with Manson:
“That’d be amazing. I’ll tell him, maybe, tonight. I mean we both love David Bowie. So, yeah, why not, I would love to do that. Manson has an amazing voice so, that’s a really good idea.”
Speaking of celebrations, 2019 marks another milestone for Manson as his debut album Portrait of an American Family turns 25 this year.
