High on Fire win Grammy for ‘Best Metal Performance’

Posted by on February 10, 2019

Congratulations to High on Fire for winning the Best Metal Performance for the title track of last year’s Electric Messiah. We have to say, Matt Pike hasn’t had the best of luck this year due a few health concerns. Hopefully, this win at the 61st Grammy Awards taking place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA is a good sign for Pike and the rest of the band. High On Fire were up against Between the Buried and Me, Deafheaven, Trivium, and Underoath in this category. Similar to previous years, this win was announced during the pre-ceremony broadcast as we barely see metal on the actual Grammy awards anymore. Regardless, we are excited about High on Fire’s win, it was well deserved.

If you haven’t yet, order the album now.
