Hellyeah are planning a special show to celebrate the life of late drummer Vinnie Paul Abbott. The show is set to take place May 11 at Las Vegas, NV’s House of Blues.

The event was announced via Facebook on Monday. The post reads:

“Please join us, Together, with our Metal Family, Friends, and Fans, to celebrate the life of our Brother and Bandmate with a very special One Night Only Event – “HELLYEAH: A Celebration of the Life of Vinnie Paul” at House of Blues Las Vegas Saturday May 11.”

This will be the first time Hellyeah has performed together since Abbott’s passing.

It’s been almost nine months since Abbott’s untimely passing. He was just 54 when he died of cardiomyopathy and severe coronary artery disease on June 22, 2018.

At the time of Abbott’s death, Hellyeah were in the middle of recording a new album. The record is still untitled and does not have a definitive release date. This will be the band’s sixth studio full-length effort and final featuring Abbott on drums. Last Friday (1st), the band was seen filming a music video in Brooklyn, NY for a new song. The band released their last album, Unden!able, in 2016.

Tickets for the Las Vegas show go on sale this Friday (8th) at 10am PST with VIP packages on sale now. According to the band’s website, a portion of ticket sales will be going to the American Heart Association in Vinnie Paul’s honor.
