Haste the Day did a farewell tour in 2010, got back together in 2014 for a night, and then decided to write a new album. In August of last year they started a crowd-funding campaign, hoping to raise $65,000, and they raised almost $140,000.

Vocalist Stephen Keech told Metal Insider about the expansive line-up for this album:

“When you have so many members and phases of a band, reunions can become confusing. We didn’t want this record to be exclusively one phase of the band. The only way it could truly be a reunion record is if everyone was involved. And that was what excited us all about making this record.”

The new album, Coward, will be out May 19th, along with four record release shows. This is the first new album from Haste the Day since 2010’s Attack of the Wolf King.

Haste the Day Coward album release shows:

5/22 New York, NY @ Irving Plaza
5/29 Denver, CO @ Marquis Theater
5/30 Pomona, CA @ Glasshouse
6/6 Indianapolis, IN @ The Old National Centre
