Iconic rockers Guns N’ Roses have joined Spotify’s prestigious “Billions Club” for the third time, thanks to the enduring popularity of their classic song “Paradise City.” The Billions Club is a curated playlist introduced in 2020, featuring songs on Spotify that have surpassed one billion streams on the platform. In recognition of this achievement, Spotify presents artists with the coveted Billions Club plaque.

“Paradise City” now shares this honor with other legendary tracks such as Metallica’s “Nothing Else Matters,” Aerosmith’s “Dream On,” The Cranberries’ “Zombie,” System of a Down’s “Chop Suey,” and Papa Roache’s “Last Resort, to name a few. This milestone has reportedly been attained by nearly 500 songs to date.

Notably, “Paradise City” is the third Guns N’ Roses track to surpass one billion streams on Spotify, following the success of “Sweet Child O’ Mine” and “Welcome To The Jungle.” All three tracks are featured on Guns N’ Roses’ groundbreaking debut album, Appetite For Destruction. This album received RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) certification in September 2008 for U.S. sales exceeding 18 million copies. Since its original release in 1987, the LP has amassed global sales exceeding 28 million, solidifying its legendary status.

The news was discovered by a Guns N’ Roses fan who shared the milestone on X (formerly Twitter).
