Yesterday (28th), Gibson Custom officially unveiled the Kirk Hammett Raven, a limited-edition acoustic guitar created in collaboration with legendary Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett and the master luthiers at Gibson’s Bozeman, Montana workshop. The guitar, priced at $4,999, and limited to just 100 worldwide, has already sold out since yesterday’s reveal.

Described as a dark, elegant counterpart to the legendary Gibson Hummingbird, the Raven features a Sitka spruce top, mahogany back and sides, ebony fretboard with mother-of-pearl star inlays, and a distinctive raven skull inlay on the headstock. It also includes L.R. Baggs Element VTC +4 electronics, double pickguards, and a custom raven-themed tailpiece, merging visual artistry with Gibson’s timeless tone and craftsmanship.

Each guitar ships in a black Gibson Custom hardshell case with matching artwork, a certificate of authenticity, and a custom raven strap, and is personally signed by Hammett. You can check out the full design and description here.
