It looks like we will see a new Ghost album soon as the follow-up to 2018’s Prequelle could arrive by late 2020 – early 2021. The group’s mastermind Tobias Forge recently spoke to the Swedish outlet, VK, to discuss postponed touring plans and new music. During the discussion, Forge revealed he still plans to release a new album “this winter,” despite the uncertainty of their 2021 touring cycle. When asked about the COVID-19 pandemic would play a role in the creative aspect of the new album, Forge explained:
“I have already made a record about God’s wrath and doomsday, even if ‘Prequelle’ was not about just infection from a medical perspective. But I have a feeling that there will be plenty of doomsday and quarantine-confirming records in the future [from other bands], and I think I might not participate in it.’
