With a band name like Fucking Werewolf, you know you’re in for a unique listening experience before you hear a note (they’re technically named Fucking Werewolf Asso). The Swedish spazz-core trio have gone from a solo chip-tune side project into a bizarre electro-hardcore band with a reputation as a great live act. The band’s latest album, Why Do You Love Me Satan?, will be released on September 8. The wierdness doesn’t end with the album title and band name, though, which is why we’re bringing you the premiere of “My New Sneakers Could Never Replace My Multicolored Bangalores.”What’s it mean? We have no idea, but if Mindless Self Indulgence decided to form a hardcore band, they’d sound a lot like this.
The band’s got video game cred as well, since singer/bassist/keyboardist Dennis Wedin and his partner Jonatan Soderstrom have created video games, including Keyboard Drumset F*cking Werewolf, which is a playable game for one of their songs (The trio are rounded out by guitarist/keyboardist/singer Peter Rasmusson and drummer/vocalist Martin Svensson).
If you want to hear more, you can check out their video for “Alphonse Lareuncic” here. Why Do You Love Me Satan? will be released on Swedish Columbia Records on September 8th. You can preorder it here.
