The action just doesn’t stop for DC-based prog-metallers Periphery. Just one year after releasing the mega-ambitious double-album Alpha and Omega, the band announced today they’re working on recording their fifth studio album to be released early this summer. Via a press release, bassist Adam Getwood says he’s excited to be making new music:
“It feels like everyone is really on the same wavelength. I can’t wait for people to hear the new songs – we’re exploring a lot of new territory for Periphery.”
And if that’s not enough excitement, they’ve also announced a four day summer camp, something they’re calling Periphery Summer Jam. Guitarist Mark Holcomb promises insight into the band’s songwriting process, what the band does in studio and on tour- and a chance to hang with the band, of course. It’ll be happening in Big Indian, NY at the Full Moon Resort from July 25-29th, 2016.
