Once again, this week is pretty short on new releases. However, the cinematic spectacle of a live concert DVD from America’s master of theatricality in music should be enough to attract some attention. Take a look right here!

Rob Zombie, The Zombie Horror Picture Show (Universal)

If you’ve never seen Rob Zombie perform live, then you have missed what may be the best stage show in rock and metal. Featuring pyrotechnics, stage mannequins, an industrial-grade light show, and some of the most creative layouts ever seen, a Rob Zombie live show is not to be missed! This DVD (or Blu-ray, if you feel so inclined) was filmed at two shows in Texas last August, and features a 16-song setlist covering Zombie’s entire career. You can watch this on repeat to tide yourself over while waiting for news of Zombie’s sixth album, which is apparently already in progress.

Castle, Under Siege (Prosthetic)

This doom metal band from San Francisco got their start in 2009, and by the time they released their debut album in 2011, they’d already been compared to some of the best names in their subgenre. Under Siege is their third record, and their first since signing with Prosthetic Records last year. Highly recommended for fans of The Devil’s Blood, Royal Thunder, and The Gates of Slumber.

Miss Fortune, A Spark to Believe (Sumerian)

Miss Fortune is a post-hardcore band that begin with the dissolution of Scarlett O’Hara and the departure of Mikey Sawyer from Close Your Eyes. Adding members from all over the country, the band established a final lineup before recording A Spark to Believe. Tailor-made for fans of A Day to Remember, Of Mice & Men, and Sleeping with Sirens.

Next Week: A plethora of headline-quality bands lead off our list with plenty of awesome material!
