The latest band from the Massachusetts metal scene has some familiar faces (and dreads). Downpour is a new group featuring Brian Fair (Shadows Fall), Derek Kerswill, (ex-Unearth, Kingdom of Sorrow), Matt LeBreton (Frozen) and Pete Gelles (Birch Hill Damn). According to the band’s newly launched Facebook page, the band will be making its debut this summer, but you can hear a preview of new music from the band now on their website accompanied by a visual of, you guessed it, a downpour. 

Judging by the teaser, fans of Shadows Fall, Unearth, or other Massachusetts metalcore bands will feel right at home when the band puts out their debut album. Details are scarce right now, but over the coming months we’ll likely be hearing more and more from the band.
