Leprous hit the Rewind button for new song

Posted by on April 30, 2015

Norwegian prog metal band Leprous is best known for being Ihsahn’s backing band, but they’ve released four excellent albums of their own since forming in 2001. That’s about to be five, as the band’s album The Congregation is coming on June 2. We’ve been listening to the album for the last month or so pretty much nonstop, and it’s, in our opinion, the band’s best album hands down. While you may have already gotten to hear “The Price” (not a Twisted Sister cover) from the band, they’ve returned with “Rewind,” which premiered on Metal Sucks earlier today.

Here’s what the band said about the song:

“Rewind is of the more dynamic songs of the album. It kind of shows everything that Leprous is about within 7 minutes, while still having a powerful and focused foundation. Not to mention it’s rather catchy.”

Yeah, it is pretty damn catchy.  The Congregation will be released on June 2 on InsideOut and can be preordered here.
